ABSTRACT：

While science offers explanations, technologies the solutions, and engineering the implementations of such solutions, Dr Sun discusses the quintessential role of languages in their development, using the cornerstones of modern mathematics, physics, and computing theory as examples. Absence of proper and effective languages stalled mathematics advancement for more than 2,000 years, and stifled the Chinese scientists and mathematicians forcing them to surrender leader positions in the field. Also discussed are the paramount importance of

boundary conditions, rules, methods, and proper word choosing in our endeavour seeking explanations, pursuing solutions, and perfecting implementations.

Dr Sun is privileged to present his personal undertaking in associating mathematics with the English language, and creative writing with engineering designs through their astonishing similarities under boundary conditions, rules, and methods.

Collectively, Dr Sun presents his coherent view of science, technologies, engineering, and languages through their omnipresent boundary conditions to challenge what could be possible in Control Engineering, Semiconductor Fabrication, and Computer Architecture, and is honoured to share the values he so fortunately has been able to adhere to.

孫博士在交大期間為母校贏得梅竹賽英語演講比賽四屆冠軍。畢業後在中山科學研究院工作，參與核能電廠的品質保證，並因熱愛體育替國際奧委會翻譯田徑講習。民國72年，孫博士完成碩士學業並通過博士資格考後於十二月回到臺灣完成了他在交大二年級所立下的志願，環島跑步為中華民國體育發展籌募基金。十二月二十一日上午十點孫博士在國父紀念館邁出了他八年訓練所準備的第一步。二十二天，1081公里後，於次年一月十一日回到出發地。所募金額近千萬全數交與田徑協會。事蹟登入國史館。博士論文發展了HDL基礎，職業生涯專注於運算處理器設計。近年來，他研究中文色碼，出版多部著作，致力於應用科學與語言的整合。

孫博士堅信不移的理念是 「最晦澀諱難懂的科學論述一定是在探討最基本的現象、機制、或方法。」 (The most esoteric essay is always serving the most fundamental aspect of nature, mechanism, or methodology.)
